There is an opportunity for a person with solid experience in building .NET systems using C# and ASP.NET to join the Software Solutions team. The candidate must be able to perform a technical lead role, driving the architecture, design, development and implementation of systems in a collaborative, professional environment.
Qualifications: Degree/diploma or relevant equivalent e.g. MCSD certification (.NET with SQL Server advantageous)
Knowledge:
- Experience in the financial services sector, e.g. with accounting systems preferable
- Solid project experience (exposure to full project lifecycle) in at least 2-3 projects of duration at least 3 months, and relevant work experience at an intermediate level of at least 1-2 years
Skills & experience:
- Ability to plan and estimate development effort
- Ability to perform a technical developer role
- Architecture experience advantageous
- OO design and development, with use of design patterns and UML
- Solid understanding of .NET framework fundamentals
- Good experience in Visual Studio 2005, with Team System edition preferable
- Solid experience in Windows Forms and ASP.NET projects using C#
- Solid experience in Visual Studio 6, specifically VB 6
- Data modeling/design and database development/T-SQL (SQL Server 2000 and later)
- Development in teams using an SCM tool, e.g. VSS
- Ability to produce relevant technical documentation
